Karen Elaina Price was born July 17, 1960, in Pasadena (California). She is an American actress, model, stuntwoman, television producer, and Playboy magazine’s Playmate for the Month January 1981. She was previously a personal coach in gymnastics and a teacher of children’s gymnastics before becoming a Playmate.
One of John Lennon’s last interviews was recorded in the Playboy issue, with Karen Price serving as the centerfold. This interview was conducted several months prior to his murder in December 1980. It was published in Playboy at the time of his murder.
Karen began acting after becoming a Playmate. She soon moved to stunt work for more than 27 movies, including Leonard Part 6 (1987), Police Academy 2 (85), The Golden Child (1986), “Old Gringo” (1989), where she was a stunt double of Jane Fonda. After a brief hiatus, she re-entered television production as an associate producer for Amazing Vacation Homes (2004) as well as Amazing Babies (2006). Price appeared in an early Mel Gibson movie, The Road Warrior. Her centerfold was pasted to a tailfin from Gyro Captain’s Benson helicopter.
